Matina Papagiannopoulou is a social scientist/researcher with studies in Sociology, Criminology, and International Security Studies, specializing in gender issues. She has extensive experience conducting research on gender equality, violence, migration, and other related topics in Greece and abroad. Additionally, she has been involved in the scientific coordination of counseling services for survivors of gender-based violence and multiple discriminations.
Matina has taught at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels at Panteion University and is a lecturer at the National Center for Public Administration and Local Government. She has served as a member of scientific committees on gender equality policies and gender-based violence. Furthermore, she has authored articles, studies, and books on these topics.
