The voluntary, non-profit organization Reading to the Others was founded in 2015 and has 3.500 volunteers. Its main purpose is to record audio books for those who cannot see. Moreover, it organizes live therapeutic reading sessions for vulnerable groups, such as the elderly, children living in children’s protection institutes, illiterate inmates etc. Reading to the Others’ events take place on a weekly basis in three Greek cities: Athens. Chania and Irakleio in Crete.
