APICCO was founded in 2013 as a volunteering movement of artists, scientists with the ambition and the experience of re integrating vulnerable groups which are socially excluded from mainstream settings. In 2017, APICCO was formally registered as a cooperative enterprise, with the co-operation of ex detainees who participated in re-integration programmes. APICCO’s vision is the diffusion of social exclusion and to secure equal chances for all members of the community. Our purpose is to nurture opportunities for groups who are excluded (prisoners, ex prisoners, immigrants, the homeless, disabled groups and the unemployed). The arts and education are the tools and means we use to achieve these aims since the implementation of, educational and artistic workshops, independent cultural creation, create and secure an inclusive platform, for everybody’s voice to be heard.
