Thalia Rizou believes that in order to develop sustainable solutions for the social challenges of our times we need a vision-driven idea and a systemic, participatory, human-centered methodology that fulfills the needs of the local society. Over the last 13 years, she has been involved as a project manager, service designer and facilitator in several organizations that embrace social innovation in Greece and abroad. In 2015 she founded Youthnest, an organization that develops holistic innovative methodologies that address social challenges in Greece in a more participatory, systematic and innovative way. She works as an external consultant for Greek Municipalities on civic society projects, as a systemic thinker for the empowerment of organizations that are working towards change and as a facilitator for the ChangemakerXchange program that connects social entrepreneurs from around the world. She is inspired by people who work and advocate for a better world with ethos. Her vision is to contribute to a more participatory, innovative world, that is open to fresh ideas, prototyping and failure. You can also find her hiking around Olympus mountain.
